She is an award winning journalist working with the Daily Monitor Newspaper, a subsidiary of Nation Media Group-Uganda, NMG-U. Lydia holds a Bachelor degree in Journalism and Communication from Makerere University. She has also written and directed short film, Heavy, edited Hide and was set designer and continuity for Decision. She has been a part of different leadership and Journalism fellowships like the Media Challenge Initiative (MCI) Fellowship, the Cameras for Girls, the Young African Leaders Initiative Regional Leadership Centre East Africa (YALI RLC EA), the Leadership Advancement Program, Women+Youth Film Apprenticeship Program as well as the African Rebirth Fellowship. She is a creative, talented and multi-skilled journalist committed to fact checking, solutions storytelling, sound research, truth and broadly any journalistic related content. Storytelling, she believes, can make the world a better place.
