The Migration Reporting Internship Program offers aspiring journalists and students in the humanities fields a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to migration-related issues through immersive internships with Migrant Narratives Africa.

Objectives for our Internship Program

Experiential Learning: Provide interns with practical, real-world experience in journalism, multimedia storytelling, and advocacy through immersive internships with Migrant Narratives Africa, allowing them to apply their academic knowledge to real-life situations.

Skill Development: Offer tailored training sessions, workshops, and mentorship opportunities to enhance interns’ skills in research, writing, interviewing, multimedia production, data analysis, and ethical reporting practices.

Immersion in Migration Issues: Immerse interns in the diverse narratives, challenges, and opportunities surrounding migration, fostering empathy, cultural understanding, and sensitivity to the experiences of migrants and marginalized communities.

Mentorship and Guidance: Pair interns with experienced journalists, editors, and media professionals who will serve as mentors, providing guidance, feedback, and support throughout the internship period.

Components of our Internship programs
